Dear All
Hooray Patsy is back! Thank you all very much indeed for your support in the run up to the show, especially while Patsy and Suzannah have been away.
Please keep on at your friends and neighbours to come and see it! The only way to sell tickets is by word of mouth, so carry some slips with you and proffer them to everyone you meet!
This will be the last ‘big’ show that the club does at The Cut, although we will be doing smaller scale performances there. We hope the children have a great time performing the show and you have a great time watching it!
All rehearsals from now on will be at The Cut and in costume. We wrote on the schedule that the children did not need costumes on Sunday March 2nd for the technical rehearsal but the EADT is coming to take a photo that afternoon so the children will need to come in costume if they want to be in the photo.
Parental Help
Rotas are attached. Thank you all very much for offering to help. We couldn’t do it without you! Any problems please contact Alida Roy (01986 781762) who has very kindly taken this on.
License
I’m afraid my feelings about trying to get this licence out of SCC (which I have been trying to do since the beginning of October) are unprintable and I could probably go and see my grandchildren in Australia with the money spent on phone calls, not to mention petrol money going to county hall. I am still without the license. I know that several of you have requested copies for your schools and as soon as I have it I will get copies to you.
DVDs
If anyone else would like a DVD of ‘The Crainies’, please let us know ASAP.
Raffle
Please bring lots of raffle prizes for the hampers to rehearsal evenings so that we can pass them on to the Eversons and Jean Watkinson who have very kindly taken this on.
Party
There will be a drama club party on Thursday March 20th for everyone, including the GCSE class, from 6.30 – 9.30. Children are asked to bring a plate of food to share (no drink please) or £3.00 towards the cost. Please let us know if you can’t come as it will affect the way we organise team games etc.
Next Term
Next term will run from Thursday April 17th – Thursday July 3rd except for Thursday May 29th which is half term.
Classes next term will be as follows:
6.00 – 6.45: Years 5, 6 and 7 plus Joshua, Stanley, James, Eloise and Eugene Hardy.
6.45 – 7.45: Year 8 GCSE Class. 2010 entry.
7.45 – 8.45: (NB 15 mins. earlier) Years 9 and 10 GCSE Class. 2009 entry.
Fees
Next term’s fees will be £23.00 (an increase of £1.00) class fees for the first class and the 2010 GCSE entry class. These fees are due by half term, after which we operate a penalty fee of £2.00 per child. Please make cheques out to LCDC. Thank you. (Only 2 members of any one family pay.)
Camp
We have still got several places for girls at camp, so we have offered it to the Saturday Theatre Club at The Cut and the Fisher Youth Theatre at Bungay. If you know anyone interested in drama who might like to come, please ask for a form.
Thank you all very much indeed for your continuing help, let’s hope we enjoy a smooth run up to and through the show.
Louise and all
