GCSE 2007 March Update :: Posted 07-03-2007

Lighting
Steve Berry has very kindly agreed to do the lighting for us. He would prefer to use his own lights, which means that lights do not have to be fetched or returned to Blackwing in Stradbroke. Thank you to those parents who had offered to do this.
We do still need parents to help rig the lights and blackout the hall on the morning of Saturday May 5th and clear up again on Tuesday May 8th. A lot of people are working on the Tuesday. It is a specification of the exam that we have an audience for the performance that the examiner marks. I would be very grateful if any parents (and/or grandparents and friends) who are free could come and watch the exam (and those parents stay behind to help clear up please)

Dates
Friday March 16th. Movement sequence with Caroline, for Lucy, Amber and Rory.

Thursday March 22nd. I am going to watch my LAMDA candidates perform at the Gorleston festival. Kate and Maia are appearing in ‘Teachers’ at Bungay High School. Anyone else is welcome to use the Hut, provided there is adult supervision. Alternatively you can use the Hut on the Tuesday (with adult supervision).Or another night. Or at the weekend! Just let me know……

Thursday March 29th. Drama 5.45 – 9.00. Suzannah is coming to help with costumes. You need to bring ALL your costume as we have to take (coloured) photos that evening which have to be sent to the examiner showing exactly what you will wear in the exam. That evening I will also be watching a run through of your complete pieces. This means that everything has to be finished and rehearsed by then please (including songs, instrumentals etc). Past experience has taught us that adding things after this time is not a good thing.

I am hoping that we will not need drama in the Easter holidays, but this largely depends on how you tackle your work between now and March 29th!

Thursday April 19th. Drama 7.00 – 9.00 in the Hut

Thursday April 26th. Drama 6.00 – 9.00 in the Hut (NB earlier start)

Thursday May 3rd. Drama 7.00 – 9.00 NOT in the Hut (because of elections) I will book somewhere else and let you know.

Louise
